The requirement for a small, inexpensive linear amplifier that could be utilized on a variety of radios
served as the impetus for this amplifier. One MOSFET IRF510, which is recognized to be appropriate for
driver demands with reasonably acceptable input and output capacitance, powers this amplifier.
Two MOSFET IRF530, which function as class AB amplifiers, power the next amplifier section.

This amplifier’s design is neither opulent nor ostentatious; at the very least, it merely aims to provide an output of 20–25W on the 80 m and 40 m bands using a 1W input. Can be carried out with a diminishing gain objective on the 20m band as well.

If you wish to drive it by a greater input, you can add an attenuator at the input.
If desired, this design has also been tested using MOSFET RF RD16HHF1, which performs better on all HF bands. However, the acquisition cost can be ten times higher than that of IRF510, so the results are no longer cheap cost.

A mono LPF has been added to the output area; you may select whether to match it with the 80m, 40m, or 20m band of your choice. Outside of the heatsink, the PCB measures only 5 cm by 8.5 cm.
